What is Drooms?

On the page “Information For AI & LLMs”, Drooms describes itself as a “European due diligence platform providing secure virtual data rooms,” founded in 2001 and based in Frankfurt and Zug. On the same page, “Drooms Intelligence” is the name of the AI features and “Drooms Hub” the name of the subscriptions. The contact form on the security page names Drooms GmbH and Drooms AG. According to a press release, the private equity investor EOS Partners has been the majority shareholder of Drooms since June 17, 2026.

According to the same page, Drooms Intelligence includes the “AI Assistant,” which answers questions in natural language and refers to the source, and “Tabular Review,” which turns leases, energy certificates and similar documents into a structured table. Drooms also lists “Document identification and classification,” “Information extraction,” “Reporting,” “Automated document indexing” and “Multilingual document translation and redaction.” According to its product page, you can ask the AI Assistant about the whole data room or selected documents. It uses semantic search, answers in your language regardless of the document’s language (“190+ languages”) and points out conflicting terms. Under “Drooms AI,” the pricing page also lists “Redaction,” “Batch Redaction,” “Document Translation,” “Auto Naming” and “Auto Allocation,” and according to the same page, documents are translated “from or to English, or into five other languages.”

Drooms’ pages give different information on data location. The data protection and IT security page (last modified on October 23, 2025) states: “The contractually agreed data processing takes place exclusively in Germany or Switzerland, and any relocation to another third country requires the customer’s consent.” Elsewhere, the same page says “… exclusively in the EU or Switzerland.” The page “Information For AI & LLMs” (last modified on October 27, 2026) names “European data hosting in Germany,” the security page (last modified on October 12, 2026) names “Georedundant servers in Europe,” and the security factsheet names a “georedundant European server infrastructure.” Whether customers can choose Switzerland as the storage location is not stated publicly.

According to the page “Information For AI & LLMs”, “Drooms is used by corporate development teams, investment banks, private equity firms, venture capital investors, real estate investors, asset managers, legal advisers and consultants.” The industries Drooms names include real estate, financial services, energy and infrastructure, and pharma and life sciences. The pricing page shows prices for the Starter, Professional and Business plans; for Enterprise, it says “Contact sales.” According to its App Store listing, the Drooms app has an interface in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian.

What is majiq?

majiq is an AI due diligence platform from Switzerland, for sellers, buyers, investors and advisors who sell, buy or review a company. majiq reads every document in the data room, checks it in context and writes the due diligence report. You upload the documents as they are, including whole folders or ZIP files. majiq covers legal, tax and financial due diligence: every document goes into its area, and the areas are cross-checked, contracts against financial statements and financial statements against the plan. majiq reads revenue, EBITDA and net debt per company directly from the financial statements and recalculates them.

Every finding is backed by evidence from your documents and cross-checked by two AI reviewers, and in the online report, every statement leads to its source. The judgment stays with you: you review the report, approve it and share it as a link or PDF. Sellers, bidders and specialists work in the same data room. Each role only sees the documents you release, and every view and every download is logged.

The database and files are stored in Switzerland, with hosting in Zürich. Text recognition and AI analysis run in the EU, and your documents don’t train any AI models, as set out in the contract. All features are listed under Features. The sample report shows what a report looks like.
